So what exactly are these? I see I started out with 100, and it looks like I've gained one per post... What do we get to spend these on???

ok, make that, i earned 3 after making 2 posts, and I just got another 11 for making this thread... hmmmmm

I think you get some for starting a thread, and how well that thread does (fills up with other peoples posts, or dies), or if you just make a post. Not sure on any of that though.

I don't know what they are used for, but I've already got some in saving making interest.

I'd suggest being able to cash them in for a trial at certain sites, but I think that would only contribute to the spamming and useless posts....

somewhere down the line they should be of some use.

Once everything is setup on the forum, there will be things like a Casino & Arcade where they can be spent to play games and stuff most likely. For now you can just collect them or donate them to other people.

I think we are going to use them to buy actual things ie memberships, photos of doug, stuff like that

It's just one more thing to generate posting... a gauge as to how one member is 'better' than another. Never been a fan of posting to earn stuff, personally... but some folks need goals and accolades to justify themselves...

Yes, there is a karma button. It is the blue "Rep Me" button at the top right of each post.
