Again, I don't know all the details, but can you put yourself in the shoes of the one person out of the 4 that you felt should have fought their own battle? Let's say you are out and about with 3 other people. For whatever reason, something gets started between one of the people you are with and another person. Are you telling me you would step aside and tell the person you are with who is in jeopardy "dude you are on your own, you gotta fight your own fights" and would encourage the other 2 people to do the same?

it wasn't like i was kicking anyone's ass...all 4 of them jumped on me at the same time....all i could do is what i did,,,LOL,,,,not much

I cant say I have ever been in a bar fight... I get in confrontations, but usually make them look like an idiot before it turns to dropping gloves. Then again, thats usually because I am sober, and the blithering idiot that is up in my grill is minutes from passing out. I don't miss that part of barlife.

well thanks.........lol.....i don't get aggressive in here i am a playful person and i like to mess around and i like people to mess back with me, it makes things more interesting. Yes sometimes my words upset people and i don't start the fights , but my words do , but this time the fight was due to some creppie dude who wouldn't keep his hands off one of my ( girlfriends ) she asked him a few times to stop and he didn't so i stood up and said something and next thing ya know it all started. So i guess it could a been avoided, but that guy was way outta play by touching a female that didn't wanna be touched...

well im single with no kids or X wives.....i spend to much time and money at bars, but really my dog is my only responsibility so i guess i cut loose a little to often.....its fun for now and i do plan on one day soon slowing down on that life and start to focus on bigger and better things

I have found that I can diffuse a lot of potential fights by letting the aggressor save face.

They will say something very confrontational and I usually respond by saying:

"Well, that is certainly one way to look at it."

"Interesting"

"There it is."

...or some variation.

When you are a larger guy...challenges do come and it is not always easy to avoid a fight...we do what we can.
