Most of you know. Sg was diagnosed in June with Grade 3B Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma With Inflammatory Breast Cancer characteristics in her left breast. We found out it had spread to her lymph nodes and chemo started in july. Chemo went well. seriously she never complained she never griped or asked why me or anything. she never even really got sick from the chemo. but she did lose her hair like most chemo patients.
anyways, chemo quit working and they decided to operate. Surgery is this thursday. She is having a double mastectomy and alot of lymph nodes removed.
she's a trooper and she hasn't asked for much through all this except that she wished her food would have a little taste.
if you want to wish her well or anything do it here and I will be sure she gets it one way or another

SG just passed the 2 year mark since her diagnosis. 6-1-2009 was the day we got the call.



She's doing well. she has a good attitude. she has been pretty depressed for a long time but she said something yesterday that made me think things are looking up. and she had a good primary care dr visit and even lost some weight. so she was psyched about that.
I'm always a little worried and never sleep at night because I am thinking about it, but that's just the life.

what else? oh we went to a Relay for Life thing last week. we didn't get to stay long because it was really hot and she was a little exhausted but she did the survivor lap and that was a good feeling. she is almost always the youngest person in those by alot. a couple weeks before that she went to a CSN luncheon and she was the youngest by several decades.

Went to a "concert" in Lubbock on saturday (7-30-2011)
not SG's favorite band more like mine, but it was on bar row in Lbk and it was the last bar on the street by the buddy holly center so it was busy as hell but the bar we went to wasn't so we ended up seeing my favorite band in a bar with about 20 people. needless to say they didn't play long but I was on the rail all night!!! SG enjoyed it because she has bad ears and she got to stand back a little further and not be bugged by anyone and enjoy the music. great night. plus we hung out with the band and I got my ipod signed by the lead singer and cd/dvd signed by the whole band, and SG got a t-shirt signed by the band and I got some great video with my flipcam.

Not sure if anyone has seen this or heard this song, but a friend of mine sent me the mp3 and said it reminded him of sg and I. it took me like a week to even make it through the song. rough stuff here

Not a whole lot going on lately. just getting through each day. she loves Christmas so we are just trying to make it big for my niece and nephew. SG hasn't had any recent oncology appointments to speak of and the last one we went to he didn't have any news so ... fingers crossed!
She's supposed to go wednesday (12-14-2011) if she's not too busy to get her first post-chemo haircut. she's had minor trims but she's actually going to get it cut this week. if that tells you about the hair growth.

Glad to hear that Spinnr, my fingers are crossed for SG. Hope you two have a wonderful Christmas.
