Default So I went to Vikings-Lions today

I sat first row behind Vikings bench and with 3 minutes left Vikings had taken out all starters. Adrian Peterson came over to talk with me and gave me the shoe right off his foot! What a great guy. Shoe is awesome too. His nickname "all day" is stitched inside the tongue..pics...

Has all day stitched inside and he wears 11 1/2. Trade jim to me jeffy! | TweetPhoto

That's very cool, yet very odd. Is Adrian a secret Pedi Knight and wanted to trade the shoe for Rachel feet pics?

    Doug,
you could sell that on ebay and make some money like other people do with game-used sports memorabilia like jersey, head bands, batting gloves, bats, helmet, etc. There definitely a market for that sort of thing to that type of collector.

Since I live in Georgia our NBA team is the Atlanta Hawks so I like to go see my favorite team the Lakers when they come to town. I get ragged on by the home fans when I show up in my Kobe jersey and other Lakers gear, lol.I also try to attend the games with other good teams like Cleveland, Dallas, San Antonio, and Boston when they come to Atlanta. One of my friends that was sitting near me actually caught a Josh Smith jersey when he took it off and threw it up into the crowd as he was heading to the locker room at the end of the game. I know he sold it on ebay, but I don't remember how much he got from the game worn jersey memorabilia. Worth a thought though.

No way he'll go down that far. There's a lot of teams that can use his talent especially since he is a dual threat QB. I bet the Vikings will draft him in the first round.

Hold on to that shoe and photo (as if I even have to tell you). It will be great for your gameroom. It would be like if I had D. Sanders headwrap or neckband.

I can't see him as an NFL QB unless it is in gimmick packages - so you can't draft such a guy in the first round if he will only be used part time. There are a few better QB prospects right now - Snead, McCoy, Bradford off the top of my head.

Tebow is the best college player in my lifetime (and that includes Peyton Manning, Peter Warrick, Reggie Bush, Vince Young, and R. Williams). He has Leadership and Determination that is rare - so if anyone can prove me wrong it would be this guy.

His leadership will make him a high draft pick. He has a lot of guts.

More teams will switch to the Wildcat formation and others like it. You have so many fast QBs these days including Tebow. I still think the team that drafts him will make him a QB/WR type of player. Many teams need an upgrade to their QB situation.

The Lions very well might have the first pick - unless they've traded it. but pretty dumb to take a QB #1 after shelling out all that cash to Staffod (is that the right guy?)

There's a reason NFL teams don't run the wishbone - which is basically what the wildcat is - very often. It doesn't tend to work repeatedly. It's a gimmick, which works now and then precisely because it's unexpected. As a standard formation, NFL defenses and players are much better at stopping it the college D's.

That said, I personally think - and have always thought - Tebow is over rated as a QB. Not as an athlete, or as a football player, but as a QB. he doesn't have the stand in the pocket and pass ability that I think an NFL team needs.

That said, he could probably be successful in the right system for a few years, but not overly so as a QB. As a RB/TE/WR, particularly as a double threat with his arm, much more so.

I think the Jaguars might take Tebow with a high pick, maybe their 2nd round pick. They used a first round pick on Matt Jones. Tebow would boost their attendance with him playing in Florida and give their offense some badly needed excitement wherever they played him. Miami could use him too if they continue running the wildcat offense next year.
