I saw the trailer earlier today...I thought it was okay, but maybe it will get better once another trailer is release. Just seems weird seeing Jackie Earl Harley playing Freddy instead of Robert Englund cause Jackie looks a lil shorter than Robert and the glove looks really big on him, plus Englund is always badass as Freddy...and Jackie's face is way different than the orginal one. More like a prequel face like they did with the predator in AVP. Though the cool part I like is when the re-capture the scene with the bath tub and the girl flying to the ceiling. So it is too soon to tell how it is coming out but it looks good for a teaser trailer.

Kinda looks like the original. Hopefully it will be better. It sucks when a movie comes out and you realize a remake shouldn't have been made.

Glad they did the TCM remake with Jessica Biel.

also, Last House on the Left should never have been remade. the original was good and it had Jeramie Rain. you can't take her out and still have a movie of the same name

Look if there is any old horror movie franchise that should be remade, it should be Nightmare on Elm street, there are a number of reasons to this, but the main on is that the Freddy Kruger character still has some scares left in him. Just so long as he isn't made a comedic character like he was in his last few films. Not to mention this movie has some excellent casting w/Jackie Earl Haley as Kruger. And I will say that the new Friday the 13th movies wasn't that bad, it was just a franchise that needed to be left alone, same with Halloween. But I did read that they want to reboot the Hellraiser series... that seems like it could be cool right?

If money's all you need, go talk to Michael Bay, Spinnr. He's got plenty.

I don't mind a full retooling of a story like they did with Halloween. The psychological aspects in it did make it interesting. But its really not that hard to come up with an original idea. I mean its bad that the last scary movie made was White Chicks. And now they're sequelizing it. Oh the horror.

I think the trailer looks pretty cool but I do wish Robert Englund had a cameo in the movie. I could go with a Hellraiser remake because honestly I've never really liked that series and maybe remaking it might make it more tolerable to watch for me.

I think it looks good. I also liked Freddy vs Jason. Samuel Bayer is a decent director. He's done some great music videos. Imdb him!!!
