During the holidays, Halloween is celebrated each year by the end of October 31 in each country. Around in 1968 to 1971, I was out with my brother John going out for trick or treating in the neighborhood collecting candies on each house. We had worn mask on 1069 to 1970 for trick or treating. By 1971, instead of going out trick or treating on October 31, we celebrated trick or treat the day before October 31 (October 30). I had worn a cat mask or a Black Panther mask and my brother John who is a fan of Batman series had wore a Batman mask. I remembered as a kid, my brother Joe who was 2 years old was not use to a mask. When I show him my mask, he got scared. Most kid at a younger age gets afraid of a mask. This was in Bogota, Colombia when we went out for trick or treating.

In 1972 to present, I went out trick or treating with my two brothers and my cousin Tony. But my cousin Tony was sick and he had a cold. He was dress as Fred Flintstones and he couldn’t go out in 1972. I was dress as a cat; my younger brother was dress as a clown. In 1973, I was dress as Superman with a mask. My brother John was dress as Spiderman, my brother Joe and my cousin Tony were both dress as Mickey Mouse. My cousin Tony had a costume as Batman but it was fucked up. So my uncle got him Mickey Mouse. We had moved to the United States in February 25, 1972 to New York and then celebrate Halloween here in the United States.

In 1999, I was dress as Zorro, my sister Jennifer was dress as a Spanish princess, my brother Joe was dress as a pirate and my sister in law was also dress as a pirate but she was pregnant. When my sister in law, Margaret went to the bathroom, her water bottle just broke. Then she went to labor on October 31, 1999. We took her to the hospital and she gave birth to my first niece name Ashley. Ashley was supposed to be due in December but Margie labor had accelerated. My niece Ashley was born on October 31, 1999 on Halloween.

In Bogota, Colombia when children go trick or treating, they say;

Tricky Tricky Halloween, little candies are for me.

In the United States, we say;

Trick or treat.
