Cause there's an increase in their cost so now theirs one in mine even though I signed a contract. It just doesn't seem right! Fuckin A!

You should be focusing on saving for the future anyways. How the system in the u.S., and many other countries, prices will always be going up. Start thinking differently about how you manage your money.

First, the basics. You need a roof over your head, food to eat, clothes (excluding the stuff you get for modeling). You don't need the biggest house in the world, or the newest car every year...that's just b.s. pushed on to all of us by cleaver (and persuasive marketing), and idiotic social pressures.

Then, what do you spend on stuff that is involved in making your site work...internet access, occasional computer upgrades/fixes, clothes to model in, etc. This is here in the ranking because they are expenses you make in order to get a larger return later....to profit, to put it simply.

From there, you should decide to save and/or invest most of what you make. Really think about the things you buy before you buy them. Do you need the newest techno-junk whatdoyacallit? Do you need those shoes you may wear once? Stuff like that.

That's a basic summation of a good way to live, I think. It covers living expenses, invests in your modeling career, but also looks towards the unknown future, to be prepared for the unexpected.

Side note: I know people think companies can just past costs on to the consumer, but that is untrue. They can only do it to a point. If a business could just constantly pass on their rising costs, no business would ever go under. Read up on marginalism if you want to know more.

I guess with the move to Cali, it is a good time to look at all the things you have and decide what to take along. Are you going to take a boat with you? Probably not because then you would need to pay for someplace to store it out there. Better off having family in Illinois hold on to it or just sell it.

So true. Society is set up to entice us to buy buy buy, what you have is never good enough and always needs to be upgraded in some way when you really don't have to.

Saving for the future is important, but it sounds like with this plan the basics are covered, business is covered (spending money on the website for a better return in the future), and then investing or saving the rest? What about fun and quality of life? Everyone's future is not certain, and there should be an amount of money for fun as one goes through life, even if it's $20 a week for take out or a movie, or gas for the quad.

I think Madden is realizing she doesn't like the boat as much as the quad and her truck (I didn't even know she had a boat!). Funny how financial burdens can help figure out priorities.

Personally I could save a bundle if I dropped Comcast altogether...but I love NHL Center Ice too much so sadly they have me right where they want me.

Comcast just bought NBC Universal so now they gotta pay for it.

in other news, comcast DOES suck balls... but they're better than A LOT of other ISP's / cable providers out there (lol AT&T / Bell South.) you should offer them free memberships for free cable

I signed a contract.....yep its not legal, but everyone accepts this. If you all banned together and hired a lawyer u would win. Heres the deal though, the time and money isn't worth it...pssst... they know this. Isn't just wonderful how you always get FUCKED. What a pile of shit! Tell them to go fuck themselves...

It's legal. Just cause you signed a contract doesn't mean that the price is set in stone. There most likely is something in there that allows them to adjust the price they charge you.

Read contracts before you sign them.

Who says you can't leave it for someone else? All the cool things we have, all the services and goods we love, are all here because of the hardships of the past. People used to prepare for their future, for their kids future, but now, it seems like everyone has that mindset of spend, spend, spend, you can't take it with you.

I say that is foolish, and childish. It's true that you can't use it when you are dead and gone, but it doesn't mean what you created in your life is lost. What the hell, I feel like making a lil'rant.

When you make something, doesn't matter what...a good or a service, you are adding into the pool of available resources. When you buy something, again, good or service, you are taking out of that pool. Of course, in this simple example, you have to put something in the pool to get something out. That's basic bartering. Change up to a medium of exchange (money), nothing really changes other than you don't run into the complications of barter.

But what about credit? Credit lets you take something out of that pool before you put something in it, knowing that you will have to put something back in the pool later, plus interest. The amount of interest depends on how much is in the pool, and how much is owed back to the pool. If there is little in the pool, interest rates must go up in order to limit credit. Where there is a lot in the pool, interest can come down to increase borrowing. This all depends on the pool and on the person borrowing from the pool, or adding into it. Interest, in it's simplest form, is time preference....how much extra are you willing to pay to get something now rather than later? These things are set by the millions of people putting into the pool and borrowing from it. It's very similar to how prices are discovered. Nobody sets prices, they can only make an offer. It's pretty much the same with interest.

Now, what happens if interest rates are not set by the size of the pool, but by decree? If interest is kept too low, to much borrowing will take place, to high, and nobody would borrow. Knowing where to set rates is another problem...there is know way to know. The information is to local and widespread.

And there I just described the current mess we are currently in now. Easy, right?
