Alabama should win unless an amazing individual effort by Colt Mccoy can keep Texas in it to pull the upset.

That being said much like that year, I don't see Texas coming home with it, but it would make my season.

Well, I do think that Boise is a more interesting team to watch than either of these two teams tonight.

I have a feeling that Texas is going to win (bad news for Spinnr1 considering my pick accuracy). Texas will score some points against Alabama so the SEC champs won't be able to win with just field goals like they have a couple times this year. They will have to move the ball on the ground and, with the hiesman winner, you'd think they will.

BOISE? you prefer Boise? don't get me wrong they are entertaining, but not big team entertaining the BCS agrees with me apparently or they would have played florida at least

Well remember, I said Boise was more entertaining, not better, than either Ala or Texas.

And I wish they had played an automatic qualifier instead of having TCU and Boise end up playing each other. I just have a sneaking suspicion that it was no coincidence. The BCS crowd didn't want to have two of their big-time teams get beat by a couple outsiders. Boise certainly could have given Florida a better game than Cincinnati did and would probably have been a better match for Ohio State than Oregon.

Who was the other at-large BCS team this year, Iowa I think. Money is a part of that decision by the people running the Orange Bowl, Iowa fans always, always, show up. And Boise could have taken care of Georgia Tech too (which really isn't saying very much).

I guess it's just you silly, cause I am more entertained by a powerhouse team like Bama or Texas that boise, but don't get me wrong I was the first person to buy the Oklahomo vs Boise State game on dvd when it came out.

I agree though something major should be done to correct the flaws the BCS has, sadly I don't see anything changing even with all the announcers that bitch and all the teams that have a legitimate claim to the title.

I agree Sillyman, in that I really like watching Boise State play. I find them very entertaining, and I root for them because they will never be given a fair shot at playing in the championship game under this current system.

Boise know this as well and are desperately trying to make their schedule tougher to increase that in their computer rankings, but what happens? No one from a BCS conference will play them. They have even offered to just play at the BCS schools with no return game, and still no takers.

It seems as if the BCS schools know how good Boise St. is, as well as TCU, which is why I'm sure the BCS conference schools were happy not to be playing them in a bowl game.

By the way, I am looking forward to watching the game tonight, and I look for a close Alabama win, but would not be at all suprised if Texas won. With no vested interest I just want a good game.

Having met Colt McCoy, and his little brother Case(As well as watching his brother play for the last 2 years) and having watched Jordan Shipley's little brother Jaxon play the last year I can say i hope those two especially have a good game tonight. I know if they do there is a good chance Texas will come away with a win.

I got nothing to be ashamed about from colt's freshman year I was saying he was a shitty player. and I wanted garret gilbert from last year's recruiting thread, so I have nothing to facepalm about. texas played a good game for not letting a freshman qb have any playing time earlier in the year.

Gilbert did a hell of a job in the game I think he is a lot of potential that is going to come out next year for sure.
