This topic would have made a good poll.

I can't believe we tied Britain! That's one hell of a showing for ANY team, much less the US.
I really need a new fucking signature.

Why would someone wanna watch my crotch? A world cup is my size in athletic cups for groin protection.

I did watch the USA v England match. I think American fans need to step up the crazy fandom though. Those Englanders, wow, they dress up as knights, face painted, yell, scream, and are ready to kick ass. They scare the guerillas away in South Africa. Even the Somali pirates won't go near them crazy Brits.

On the field and the game, well it was a good game. I just hoped for more violence and gruesome happenings. Like broken legs, knocked unconcious from a face hit, etc. Like watching racing and hoping to see a cool wreck. This game, nothing.

I saw a soccer clip of a guy get his leg trampled on and the leg bent the other way due to the force of stomping impact. That is just disturbing, but makes a good clip for TruTV's video shows.

After watching the Stanley Cup final the other day and then the World Cup, soccer makes curling look fast and furious!

I only watch soccer every four years... like the Olympics, I'm not really interested in the sport, but I'm interested in the world-wide appeal and fervor. Although, if I were at a game in S. Africa and a dude was blowing one of those obnoxious horns next to me I would English-hooligan him upside the head.

I used to watch the world cup on the Spanish channels even though I didn't understand what they were saying because the announcers had much more emotion for the game... "goooooooaaaaaal!!!!!111". However, to watch in HD I have to pay extra for ESPN-Spanish... or watch in standard def which I refuse to do... maybe for the final. The English guys ESPN hired for play by play are more boring than soccer itself.
