I'd like the 42" 1080P HDTV for $199 from BestBuy but I'm not going to stand outside in line for 3 hours or more before their store opens at midnight. Stores that don't make all their sale prices available online piss me off.

DVD players are cheap, seen them for 30 bucks or so

and I refuse to go out on Black Friday any more, the people are loco at that time

My work schedule for the month of Nov. is 5am-1pm, so not this year

The last 2 yrs I went out for dog food (50lbs for $20) and had my coffee & people watching

Good times =) lol

Lot of the stores are staring their sales at 10PM on Thursday or 12AM Friday. There is a backlash started by a Target worker who said the hours they have to work are unreasonable and don't give them a whole day off for Thanksgiving as workers are supposed to get.

Ive never Been to the stores on Black Friday, I wanna go to WALMART and battle people like Gears of War 3! =)

I understand that its the first after Thanksgiving but why is it always the Friday after Turkey day?

I know to everyone else this is probley a noob question but we don't have anything even close to a black friday here in the UK

This is the day that most retail businesses make enough money to put them in the black for the year meaning that they made a profit. Thus, Black Friday.
