So Today (or This morning rather) i went to the Hospital to see what was wrong with me, and after some lab work what not the Nurse came in an goes "Your a Diabetic" all Stern an S#$% an she goes your levels are 497 over a 100 or something and she says OK this is Serious now are you listenin to me? (Like i DIDN'T Know that it was Serious or somethin) and i was like Yeah, and then she told me that Monday i need to call my Family Doctor and Set up an appointment immediately and they gave me a perscription of medicine to take until i can see my family doctor, because now its all about getting my Sugar down an Stuff. well lets see my great grandmother had it and lost her leg to it. Thats what ppl tell me. I dont know about my grandparents, they are all 6ft under. Thats one of many things I miss out on as a kid. Maybe thats why I have great, health teeth
My dad has diabetic too and he's not fat. He is like me 5'6" about 150lbs + or - . The doctor says its a family genes and it skips generations for me anyway. So my kids will most like have it.
Watch your breads, eat wheat or rye
Eat lots of cinnamon, its good for you and good for that too
    I know a lot about this =)

That really sucks, Jar. You can control it though. Ask your doctor, but you'll probably still be able to eat fishsticks on occasion.

I'm sorry to hear about that. I hope you able to get your sugar level lowered without having to give up too many of the foods that you enjoy, especially the fishsticks. I have a friend that is diabetic and I know he has to watch the amount of sodas he drinks or try not to drink them at all if possible. He still drinks his sodas, but just a couple each day, not like he used to drink.

OMG i cant WAIT until i can get my sugar levels back down an start feelin normal again, I think they said that i can drink Sodas, its just that they Have to be Diet. I mean my dad told me that i could drink regular Sodas, just in EXTREME moderation or something. Sodas arent really that big of a concern to me right now either, i mean ive been drinking Diet Mtn Dew but ive also been drinking water, and if thats what i gotta deal with drinkin for right now then thats what i'll deal with. =)

First of all. I recommend you stop drinking soda altogether. they are probably the reason you have diabetes. I gave up soda about a year ago and I feel a ton better. I didn't have any medical issues but sg and I were addicted to soda. her dr told me she needed to get off of them so I stopped buying them for her and said no more. she and I both stopped cold turkey and to this day it's been great. she's dropped a good bit of weight and looks fantastic. and I have lost something like 35 pounds. all because of soda.

also I recommend reading up on the internets about your diabetes and what you should and should not eat and be strict with yourself. now is the best time to get a hold on diabetes you wait and itwill kill you but you handle it now and it can be easy later

Brandi Starr : i will miss you

Yeah i agree, i used to drink TOO Many Sodas, it was ridiculous. Lately ive just been drinking ice water, Yesterday i was SO SICK that i spent most of the day throwing up, i finally went over to my friend's house last night and called my brother to come take me to the hospital. I Threw up So much that i started Dry Heaving, after a LONG 2 an 1/2 hour wait i finally got back there and they hooked me up to an IV and started getting my Sugar levels down, i Still feel semi-crappy but im feelin MUCH better than i was feeling. Now i just gotta get in to see my Family Doctor ASAP, Wish me Luck! =)
