Thoughts about a thread or page with a list of current & retired models?

Has anyone ever tried or thought about putting up a site or at least a thread that lists all of the models and whether or not they are still active or retired?

This would be useful for people who are new to the scene and want the best value out of their memberships. No one wants to buy a membership only to realize that the pic sets are 2 years old and that there will never be any live cam shows or chats for them to watch.

Obviously there are webmasters out there who wouldn't want this kind of list because it could cause a drop in site subscribers if people new that they were buying membership to a site where the model no longer works.

On the other hand it could create a drive to sign and keep models who want to stay active and reduce the instances of "drive-by" sites. I'm making that term up, but basically I mean where photogs shot a model for a month or so only and then slowly release that content as new updates or the course of a few years.

Granted you are still getting content that's new to you, but the appeal of belonging to a ghost site where the model has long since vacated is greatly reduced once that realization has been made.

So my question is wouldn't having a directory site or thread of sorts be good for the industry as a whole?

Besides, it's fairly easy to judge how active a model is by how much she posts at forums, has a Twitter, or keeps a blog, has a YouTube, etc.

Also I think an active/retired list is a little too definitive. A model may be still very active but everyone should remember that they have lives too and fitting everything in is sometimes difficult.

People need a break sometimes as well.

True. I agree with that. People are busy. I just thought it would be good to know which sites were ongoing and which were just posting old material with no interaction from the model.

I'm not super into the scene or anything so I don't follow the blogs, twitters, youtubes, etc, so I don't know. It was just a thought I had today.

Webmasters getting pissy with us etc. Meh, sort of like what Rach said.. watch how often the girl is involved with her site etc. I don't completely agree with the see how often a girl tweets or posts because that can easily be her webmaster just as easy. Cam shows are often the only way you know the girl is actually the girl and not bought content. Then again, how does one know she's not just paid for her cam show? haha Gotta just find a girl you like and give her site a try and see if it works for you.

In regards to posting in the forums, some guys need to realize that just because a girl doesn't add her two cents to some thread they find uninteresting for whatever reason, doesn't mean she's not here. 16 models have been here in the last 24 hours according to login stats.

I hear what you're saying regarding who's active, but it's easier just to find a girl you like and follow her rather than trying to be an industry watchdog. if you find the girl you like isn't active to the degree you'd like, find one that is. There's lots of great girls out there, why not focus on the positive?

Right on. I agree with your points. I'm not trying to start a site or anything like that, I just had the idea today and wondered what the general consensus would be. (Blame my boring marketing class for that) I can definitely see how it would be more trouble than it's worth and would piss a lot of people off because it would be messing with their income. Plus there is the point that if you like the girl and the content is there, what does it matter if the pics are 4 months old or 2 days old? Personal preference I guess. Luckily there is something out there for everyone.

Yeah you are right about there being a lot of great girls out there and most of them seem to be here, so that's why I decided to check this place out. Thanks.

It's a good idea -- kinda like a Consumer Reports type site, for web models. But, yeah, the web model industry pretty much thrives on "pretend", and that includes webmasters "pretending" that their models are interacting with the customers. (From what I understand of the scene, the occasional Rachel Sexyton or Bryci or Blueyed Cass or Misty Gates, who is actually active, and INTERACTS with her members, is the exception to the rule.) Like James says, no webmaster is going to allow the existence of a site that would, essentially, call bullshit on the majority of "active" models out there.

Too bad for the honest ones, because I'm not going to fork over money for a site membership without some objective reviews from other members or ex-members; I want to know that the site updates regularly as advertised, and what the level of interactivity is, BEFORE I pay for it. I've been burned in the past by this, and I can't be the only one.

A good rule of thumb is to only follow the most attractive models, for they have a better chance of staying around.

Kellie on here used to or still does run a site like the kind mentioned. It was called Babes Boobs and Reviews.

I often thought it'd be industry changing (to some degree) if there was a non profit (no banners, just pure links) site with forum where the topic would be the site name, and then inside each thread... people that found the site could post their personal review of the site and what not.

Of course how would anyone know if it was real or if the people posting were fakers? Well, that I guess would come in time with others posting. If I posted that sitename123.com was the greatest site in the world and others that had seen the site thought otherwise, they'd probably call my ass out on it quickly.

maybe make it a mandatory that if you're going to post a review, you also need to post a screen cap from the site as proof you were in there. Could still be faked of course, but if I say something rocks and ten others say it sucked, you as the consumer could choose which to believe or not.

I know a lot of webbies would hate a site/forum like that because well, the truth would reign supreme and that would cost some people some coin, but on the other side... save other people some coin so it'd all work out, wouldn't it?

I like the idea of models and sites being held accountable. I can speak from personal experience that this job is not easy by any means, not for either side, the model, or the webbie. Sure, it's not something tough like mining coal, but make no mistake, those that are on top of their game and doing their job, be it the models or webbies... work their asses off.

Do girls disappear or flake? Hell yes, 99 out of 100, and that's probably being modest. Do webmasters fail on their end? Hell Yes. It's a two way street but yeah, it'd be cool if there was an honest watchdog type site that gave honest first hand reviews of this or that within a website.

GND Magazine did a pretty job of reviewing sites IMO. Even though the latest it has been updated was in April(at least the magazine part). Right now all the owner needs to do is update and get rid of the advertisements and information for the sites that are no longer active. Add the latest models like Aston Richards and others.

Sadly, Azz did it by being an asshole in the truest sense, invading privacy and posting images he had no right posting. He made some enemies quickly with his site. Being honest about if a girl is active is one thing, invading their personal life is quite another, in my opinion anyway.

If you come to this site and you see Rachel, Gina, Bryci, Violet, Nikki, Cass, posting then you get a glimpse at both their personality and pictures. Maybe its just me, but I'm going to be more likely to join up with a girl whose got personality and something fun, like Rachel with her Gnomes that watch her make feet sandwiches. Or Bryci with how she asks what people want to see. Things like that just get you more bang for your buck (So to speak). End of the day though, you're still hand jammin.

Yeah James that is true. Maybe someone who has joined quite a lot of sites and is not a webmaster of some sort can write up and produce a site about models' sites.

They can just put down all of the positive things about each site and comment on any ways that they think that the people running those sites can improve them.

One thing not pointed out is your also paying for the archived content. In cases like Tiffany Teen, Nikki, Cass (when they were with Phil Ass-Hat) There is a lot of content on the sites.
While I personally wouldn't join an Ass-Hat site some would just to have access to all thats there.
